Trauma awareness for journalists

Members of the March on Stress team attended a BBC trauma awareness event last week.

The event was held for BBC journalists, camera operators and producers who cover news stories in difficult areas across the world, where they may be more likely to experience traumatic incidents.

Professor Neil Greenberg spoke at the event about the potential trauma faced in difficult areas, particularly areas of conflict and in the aftermath of a natural disaster.

The BBC uses Trauma Risk Management (TRiM) as one method to support its staff.
