NHS ‘Light up’ campaign for TRiM and trauma support

Added on the 22nd November 2022

NHS buildings will be lit up in support of TRiM and trauma support all of this week - as part of a campaign to promote awareness of TRiM and trauma support.

Between 21st and 25th November 2022 a number of NHS Trusts will be lighting their buildings in blue to highlight the importance of trauma support.

The campaign is the brainchild of the NHS TRiM (Trauma Risk Management) network. The network was established by TRiM leads, trained by March on Stress, from University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and Royal United Bath NHS Trust and has grown to now comprise some 18 NHS Trusts, working together to share learning, information and best practice across NHS organisations.

Becky Ballinger, from University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, is one of the founders of the network. She said: “There is so much good work going on in the network to not only support our colleagues, but to raise awareness of the significance of trauma and trauma support.

“This campaign is part of our ongoing work to engage with staff to normalise feelings not trauma.”

March on Stress Director, Professor Neil Greenberg, said: “The NHS TRiM network is a fantastic group, bringing together a collective ambition and expertise to support NHS colleagues. This campaign is a wonderful initiative to raise awareness of TRiM and trauma support in these NHS Trusts and we are delighted to support it.”
