Mylea Charvat PhD

TRiM Associate - USA

Mylea Charvat is an academic psychologist and assistant professor of behavioral health at the University of San Francisco. She currently serves as a consulting medical development director to SamaHope, an organisation that addresses health care disparities world-wide. She is also the co-creator and consulting clinical director for the Artemis Rising Invisible War Program which works in education, advocacy and treatment of PTSD from military sexual trauma.

A social entrepreneur with a focus on trauma, Dr. Charvat completed her bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Kansas, her Ph.D. in clinical health psychology at Palo Alto University, and completed her Fellowship at Stanford University School of Medicine in clinical psychology and neuroscience. As a graduate student she trained extensively with the National Center for PTSD in Menlo Park and co-founded the Early Intervention Trauma Clinic; which still operates in Palo Alto providing free and low cost intervention following trauma. She served for three years as the PTSD assessment and treatment coordinator for the War Related Illness and Injury Study Center with the Veterans Healthcare Administration where she earned a special contribution awards for her work in PTSD assessment and treatment in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Prior to her graduate studies Dr. Charvat worked in management consulting for more than eight years; including several years as the staff development manager at Travelocity.com. She has served on several boards of directors including the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS) and Conard House in San Francisco.

Stine Arenshøj

TRiM Associate – Denmark

Stine is a trauma expert with 15 years’ experience of both physical and psychological trauma, having previously worked as an inspector and duty incident commander for the Danish fire service.

She is the founder and director of 'Mind the Human' – a company which provides wellbeing services focused on stress, violence, and trauma, through consultation, training, and teaching delivered to individuals and organisations.

Stine is a TRiM Practitioner and trainer and delivers TRiM by March on Stress training in Denmark. She is also an ambassador for www.offerforum.dk – a website where victims of crime, violent incidents and accidents can meet others who have been exposed to a similar experience.

Sue Crock

TRiM Associate – Australia

Sue has extensive experience as a teacher and social worker in mental health, education and community development, working with a diverse range of individuals, communities and organisations in Australia and the UK. She is an experienced trainer and facilitator and has developed accredited training in a range of community service areas including health, aged care, disability and social housing.

Sue's recent work has included coordinating This FIFO Life, a website developed to support the mental health of long-distance commuters (Fly-in, Fly-out workers) and policy development in suicide prevention at the Western Australian Mental Health Commission. Sue has completed TRiM Practitioner and Manager training and is committed to promoting these to workplaces in Australia as part of a range of best practice workplace mental health programs. Sue has lived experience of bereavement by suicide and caring for a person with severe mental illness and counts these amongst her richest, if most challenging experiences. She is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers and the UK Psychological Trauma Society.

Julie Loveny

TRiM Associate – Australia

Julie qualified as a social worker in the UK before moving to Australia over 20 years ago. She has a background in counselling and is a trained mediator. She established an award winning training organisation providing nationally recognised training across many industry and professional sectors. More recently she has specialised in managing trauma support, employee assistance and initiatives that promote mentally healthy workplaces. Julie is a Principal Advisor Workplace Mental Health with Aveling, a large training provider and is co-founder of This FIFO Life. Having undertaken training with March on Stress, Julie is pleased to be offering the high quality, evidence-based TRiM and StRaW programs in Australia.
